Cotton is a soft staple fiber that is spun into yarn or thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile. Processed cotton fibre consists of nearly pure cellulose, a natural polymer. Each cotton fiber is made of twenty to thirty layers of cellulose arranged in a manner to give a high degree of strength, durability and absorbency. It is natural and biodegradable.
